  • Change the call number to show the author's full last name
  • Click 'Save Copy' on the right
Picture
  • Repeat this process with every item
  • When the call numbers of each item have been changed, new labels need to be printed
  • Select the 'Reports' tab at the top of the screen
  • Select 'Library' on the left
  • Click on the 'Spine/Pocket Labels' link
Picture
  • Select 'Barcode List' from the 'Based on' drop-down box
Picture
  • Scan the barcode of every item that needs a new spine label
  • Make sure that the 'Start on label' box matches the first label on your label sheet if you are using a partially used sheet

  • When you are done, click on 'Run Report' at the bottom
Picture
  • Select 'Report Manager' from the left
  • The jobs appear on the list chronologically, so the one you just created should be at the top
  • Hit 'Refresh List' at the top if your job is still processing
  • Once your job's status is 'Completed' you can select 'View' from the right to view the pdf with the labels
    Picture
    • Click on the print icon in the upper left corner
    Picture
    • Check that you are printing to the correct printer
    • Make sure that there is no page scaling
    • When you are ready to print, load the label paper into the printer and click 'OK'
    Picture
    • The labels will print out in call number order, not the order they were scanned
    • Make sure to match up the book with the correct label (scan it into the computer to check if you are unsure)
    Picture
    • Place the label at the bottom of the spine
    Picture
    • Tear off a strip of tape
    Picture
    • Place the tape over the label and smooth down from the center out to the edges

    • The book is now ready to be reshelved.  Repeat with every item.
