These are some books that are about a kid named Percy Jackson and he is having a really hard time in school. In addition, he finds out that he is a Greek demigod and that he is very powerful and special. This leads him to this Camp called camp half blood and he finds the place that he was meant for. Percy goes on many adventures with friends to defeat many evil monsters. This is an amazing series because it puts you on the edge of your seat and it is really compelling. Furthermore, you will love these books if you like learning about Greek mythology and you love fantasy. Lastly, this book had many turns and twits which made these books interesting. The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan Grades: 4-6 Tags: Fantasy Reviewed by Cael Georgina Fernweh is born into a family with magic passed down by women through generations. This magic can range from flying to teleportation, and while it is not spoken by the other residents on the island By-The-Sea, it is known. Little oddities that make the island what it is---such as the unpredictable and ephemeral weather and the (supposedly) three-hundred-year-old bird who rests on the island every year---attracts tourists to the little island every summer, two of whom are Harrison and Prue. Georgina has not yet found her magic unlike her sister Mary, and with her eighteenth birthday awaiting at the end of the summer, she fears her ability may never come. She begins to bond with a new friend, Prue, when tragedy strikes the island. The magical powers that were once revered by the citizens of By-The-Sea turns to suspicion--especially towards Mary. During Georgina's last summer on the island, she will learn the truth and mysteries about magic. This book offers wonderful representation for members of the LGBT community through its characters and plot. Disclaimer: This book has topics on sexual assault/rape. Please read with discretion.
