​8th Grade 2022 Summer Reading

Entering 8th graders have no written assignments due. However, here are three key points to remember: 
  • Entering 8th graders must read Almost American Girl by Robin Ha plus two books from the list
  • Keep a list of everything you read and feel free to read beyond the minimum two book requirement. 
  • Using post-it notes or a separate document, please highlight and take notes on important scenes or character development in Almost American Girl as you read the story. Look up words you don't know.  Read actively.

eBooks

Upper school students have access to Overdrive. This allows you to check out ebooks that can be read on your computer, iPad, Kindle, Nook, or other devices. To check them out, go to the Sora app or website. Just log in with Google and select your MCDS account.​
