 12-year-old Grayson is stuck in a male body. He knows that he is destined to be a girl, but what is he supposed to do? Feeling like this in middle school is not always easy for him. He eats lunch alone in the library, is often partners with the teacher, and sits alone on the bus. He does this every day until he meets a new girl. She is nice. Of course he keeps his desire to be female a secret from her (and everyone else) but they have fun together. He goes to thrift stores with her and secretly tries on dresses, and he finally eats in the lunchroom because of her.
Even with a new friend, Grayson still has a problem. He can only use his imagination to be wearing in front of the mirror. He is a guy, and he doesn’t feel like he can change that. In this book you see a boy who grows from a simple farmer to a hero and hope to a world engulfed by evil. The travels lead you through a four book series with heart wrenching twists and epic accomplishments. The main character is a sword fighter, and a skilled wizard. But there is evil in the kingdom, he and his dragon have set of in search of a trainer and an accomplice to help them take down the evil king.

My diary from the edge of the world is about a world like ours, except that it is flat, has dragons, vampires, and sasquatches, and a scary black cloud that comes to get you when you are about to die. A girl's family is looking for the Extraordinary World because the cloud is after their littlest child Sam. The extraordinary world is our world, if they don't get to our world, Sam dies.
-Billie J.  Do you like Candy? Stella’s family owns a candy shop. Stella wants a new name. She thinks about names that relate to candy. This book has imagination and fun. This is a great book.
-Claire C.  Do you like mythical creatures? If so, this book is meant for you. This book is full of mystery and imagination. Imagine meeting Griffins and Dragons. This book makes you feel like you’re in the scene with all the detail. Each character has an interesting personality that pulls you in. I love this book. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Dragon on Trial and Krakens and Lies follow the Menagerie in the trilogy.
-Claire C.  Michael Vey is a great book about a boy who has electric powers. He can blast stuff with electric balls and is extremely powerful and cool. The Elgen created him and 16 other babies. Doctor Hatch is the villain trying to convince Michael that he should kill people along with some of the other children.Follow along on this 7 book series about the Elgen kidnapping his mother and Michael saving his mother. And watch as this boy’s life will be ruined. And meet characters like Zeus the guy who can shoot lightning bolts, but he could die if you push him in a pool. And Taylor, Michael's girlfriend, who has a confusing set of powers like rebooting. This book is awesome!!!
Andy P.  Ender Wiggin is a strange character. He was literally birthed to lead. His older brother Peter was to violent, and his older sister Valentine was too sympathetic/nice, and so Ender was their last chance. Ender takes on virtual bad guys and becomes a commander in a training school. Right when he becomes commander he wins every battle against the other commanders but he becomes less connected from reality. Ender becomes a fearless commander with hardships in his way.
-Riley S.  The book Tangerine is about a boy named Paul who moves to Florida and can’t really see unless he wears big glasses. The funny thing is he can’t remember what happened to his eyes.

-Lulu G.  In Divergent there are five different factions that are ruled by five different people. The factions are Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor. Abnegation is all about peace an kindness. A girl named Beatrice who is in Abnegation doesn’t want to be in Abnegation so she chooses Dauntless, Dauntless is for tough, strong, fighters. Beatrice finds out something that she has to hide from everyone while she has to pass the test to get into Dauntless.
